Four out of five women who suffered sexual harassment at work did not report it out of shame or fear. By Ananya Roy A TUC survey has found that of more than 1,500 British women surveyed, 52% said they have suffered some form of sexual harassment at workiStock More than half of women (52%) surveyed in the UK about sexual harassment at the workplace said they have suffered some form of abuse ranging from unwanted touching and physical advances to demeaning comments or jokes. About one-third of those who faced sexual harassment at work were between 18 and 24-years-old, the survey found. The study conducted by Trade Union Congress (TUC) in collaboration with the Everyday Sexism Project also found that in about 88% of the cases, the perpetrators were male .
