(Photo by Friday Simbaya) MBARALI: Nyakadete Primary School in village Nyakadete Madibira Ward Mbarali District, Mbeya Region is facing a shortage of teachers' houses and leading some teachers to live in the homes of the families of the other teachers, it has been learned. The Guardian recently visited the school and learns that there are only three (3) teachers’ houses when there is a need nine houses (9).  Some teachers live in the family house of another teacher that is a teacher as part of the family of another teacher. The situation also force teachers to live 12 kilometers from school, for example, the head-teacher comes from the nearby village located in Madibira Ward, Mbarali district of Mbeya Region. The European Union (EU) Parliament of the 27 member countries has demanded for the release of United Party for National Development (UPND) leader Hakainde Hichilema from prison. The EU Parliament has also called for reform of the public order act, the ZNBC, and an end to police brutality in Zambia.
