  A workshop of forestry experts has declared that a Forestry Management Centre will be established in the Southern Highlands to offer VETA level 1, 2, 3 training in forestry and wood processing.   The mode of training will be in form of both on-site and on-campus. In the Declaration it is stressed further that the Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism, through the Private Forestry Programme, will facilitate the mobilisation and establishment of a relevant Public Private Partnership (PPP) for the Centre,and that the Centre will be managed by a Coordinator employed by the PPP.
