REV. MSIGWA PROMISES TO BUILD NEW IRINGA

CHADEMA Parliamentary aspirant for Iringa urban Constituency, Rev. Peter Msigwa has called upon residents of Iringa Urban to vote for him so that he can bring about ‘new Iringa ‘ hence improved standard of people.

Speaking yesterday on the campaign rally held at Mkwawa Ward in Iringa Municipality, Rev. Msigwa said people should stretch their minds and vote for development because for the long time the constituency has lagged behind.

He said that Iringa had a lot of manufacturing industries which used to give employment to the local people but now they are longer there due to poor policies that current has put in place that cannot uplift the economy.

Explaining about the new Iringa he said, too many construction of buildings has concentrated within the town center and town roads have become small due urbanization and cars, so it time go to the outskirt of town to distribute services evenly.

Since Iringa has been appointed to be hub of tourism in the Southern Tourism Circuit, hotels and other tourist attractions should be put in place in order to entice tourists to come before they go to Ruaha National Park hence economic growth and poverty reduction of income and raise the standard of people.

“Tourism is one of sector that is going to benefit residents of Iringa because will come and stay here and buy things, sleep in our hotels and will make our Nduli Airport business with planes coming time after time,” he said

He however, urged residents of choose leaders who are future focused, who have the love of the nation and its people by not accumulating national wealth to themselves and their families but who can distribute natural resource to the people evenly hence reducing gap between the have and have-not.

“Make sure you are making the right choice on 31 October , 2010 general elections by electing good leaders who are visionary hence social and economic development” Rev. Msigwa noted.

On other hand, he promised the residents that when elected as an MP, he will make sure that his office has a lawyer who can help in legal matters and will also give legal aids to the residents free of charge because most of the people were ignorant about legal issues hence they don’t know their rights.
