A total of 15,818 candidates Iringa Region to sit for form four national leaving examinations

The Acting Education Officer for Iringa (REO), Euzebio Mtavangu said that a total of 15,818 candidates are expected to sit for form four national leaving examinations school this year.

The distribution of those candidates in the four councils is Municipality (4785), Iringa district council (3368), Kilolo the district council (2,784) and Mufindi district council (4881).

Citing expectations of performance in the region, Mtavangu said the candidates are expected to do well to excessive expectations of Big Results Now (BRN) 80%.

He said that those expectations stem from the region have improved teaching and learning environment.

Another reason he mentioned were students of science subjects did a lot of experiments after having enough laboratories to make scientific studies.

In addition, the bulk of teachers with degrees widened springboard to success in the education sector in Iringa.

Iringa Region has completed preparations for the examinations to finish Form Four Ordinary Level (O-Level) secondary education in 2015 and all examination materials have been distributed in all the districts.

Mtavangu said that Iringa have a total of 196 centers of manipulating the test, adding that those centers for each council as Iringa Municipality (44), Iringa district council (33), Kilolo district council (49), Mufindi district council (70) and all tests has been carried in their respective stations .

Citing the number of supervisors, said that the region you have a total of 527 officers.

He said that according to the guidelines of the exams one administrator is required to manage an average of 40 candidates.

He added that those among their supervisors are teachers from schools in Iringa region.

“The procedure of getting supervisors was made extensive and the oath of secrecy by law No. 3 of 1970 was given to them,” said the Acting Education Officer, Euzebio Mtavangu.

He said that seminars for supervisors that began to all councils started on 28-30 / 10/2015.
