Nguesso ashinda uchaguzi wa rais Congo Brazaville

Matokeo ya awali ya uchaguzi wa rais huko Jamhuri ya Congo Brazaville yanaonyesha kuwa Rais Denis Sassou Nguesso anaongoza kwa wingi wa kura.

Mwenyekiti wa Tume ya Uchaguzi nchini humo Henri Bouka, amesema Rais Sassou Nguesso anaongoza kwa asilimia 67 ya kura zote halali zilizopigwa katika uchaguzi uliofanyika Jumapili. Hata hivyo wagombea watano wa kiti cha rais wamesema hawatambui matokeo hayo.

Itakumbukwa kuwa, serikali ya Congo Brazzavile iliyaagiza mashirika mawili makubwa ya simu nchini humo ya MTN Congo na Airtel Congo kukata mawasiliano yote ya simu wakati wa kufanyika zoezi la uchaguzi wa Rais. Aidha serikali ilisitisha huduma za intaneti katika kipindi hicho.

Waziri wa Mambo ya Ndani wa Congo Brazzavile aliziambia duru za habari kwamba, uamuzi huo wa kukatwa mawasiliano ya simu na intaneti umechukuliwa kutokana na sababu za kiusalama.

Rais Nguesso ambaye ameingoza nchi hiyo kwa zaidi ya miaka 30, Oktoba mwaka jana alibadilisha katiba na kuondoa kipengee kinachoweka ukomo wa vipindi viwili kwa Rais na kujiandalia mazingira ya kubakia madarakani. (BARAKA NYAGENDA)

MUCE IMPLEMENTS SH18.6 BILLION PROJECT IN HONOUR OF FATHER OF THE NATION’S VISION
