JAMES MTURI: WWF Tanzania Facilitated a Multi stakeholders Workshop for Mbarali Water Subcatchment on the 13-14 June 2016. The District Commissioner for Wanging'ombe, officiated and fully participated with other 135-participants drawn from Water User Groups, Local Government, Districts, NGO, Media, Rufiji Basin, Ruaha National Park, Irrigation Commission, National Environment Council etc.

Mkutano wa pili wa wadau wa bonde la mto Mbarali leo ni siku ya pili mjini Makambako ambapo leo washiriki wa mkutano huo wanajadili vihatarishi vya rasilimali za maji: fursa na changamoto kwa miradi na watumia maji. Wahushika ni mashirika mbalimbali kama vile RUNAPA, SPANEST, WCS, NADO, SHIPO, DARAJA, RIEP, TANESCO, wawekezaji na wat binafsi.

Wakati jana warsha hiyo ilikuwa na kazi ya mfumo wa kitaasisi wa usimamizi wa rasilimali za maji unayosaidia mipango mingi chini ya mpango wa maendeleo wa bonde (IWRMDP). Kazi ya vikundi jana ilianagalia utekelezaji wa mipango shirikishi, mafankio, changamoto na fursa katika kuhamasisha dhana ya kujifunza kwa pamoja, kuhamasisha ushrikishaji na ujumlishaji na ugatuaji wa mabadiliko ya tabianchi na namna ya kukabiliana nayo.
