ROTARY CLUB OF IRINGA DONATES TREE SEEDLINGS TO IRINGA GIRLS SCHOOL

The Rotary Club of Iringa has planted more than 134 fruit trees and donated to Iringa Girls Secondary School as an ambitious strategy to plant trees in various schools for preserving planet earth. 

The planting exercise at the school was headed by the president rotary club of Iringa Miraji Vanginothi in collaboration with Iringa District Commissioner Richard Kasesela. 

The program of planting trees is their club program to preserve the environment hence protecting the planet earth from environmental degradation. 

Iringa district commissioner Richard Kasesela who is also the rotaian said people should build a culture of looking after and helping other people so that their can live happily in their lives. 

Kasesela gave the statement yesterday while speaking at a plant planting ceremony at Iringa Girls' Scondary School. 

The planting exercise at the school was organized by the Rotary Club of Iringa, which included the students from form five (5) and six (6) with school leadership. 

“The heart of Rotary is our members, dedicated people who share a passion for community service and friendship,” said DC Kasesela. 

Kasesela urged students of the school and young people to build a culture of doing something to help others and that by doing so they would be building their own ability to do good. 

“You're born of someone else, you've been welcomed by someone else, you're going to be married to someone else, will be married to someone else and will be buried by someone else so everyone doing for someone else our country and the world will generally be peaceable, "he said. 

Initially speaking in the exercise, the President of the Rotary Club of Iringa Miraji Vanginothi thanked the people who had showed up for planting trees in the school area and asking for the leadership and pupils to take care for trees and for also the next the generation. 

"We have climbed your roles to ensure that you care for the future generation, the trees are for the conservation of the trees," said Vanginothi. 

In turn, the headmistress Blandina Nkondola thanked the Rotary Club of Iringa for the decision to plant trees in the school and promise to keep it. 

"Thank you very much for your social support, we are pleased with your patriarchal intentions for the purpose of addressing our environment and just guaranteeing that we will keep these trees" she said.
